About Brenna
My name is Brenna Potash and I have been involved in dogs 10+ years.
I have grown up with dogs from the time I was an infant until today, and have always loved them. I got my first "show" dog, Domino, in May of 2003. I competed n my first dog show in junior showmanship at the yound age of 10, in which I won my Novice Junior class. I can remember from then on I was hooked to dog shows. In 2005, Domino (GCH CH Twelfth Night Be My Sugar) got a Hound Group First at a very large show. I went on to win another Hound Group First with him and multiple group placements, all while also competing in junior showmanship. I was a top junior from 2005 to 2009, qualifying for Westminster and Eukanuba every year but 2007. In December 2006, Domino, who was my juniors dog, got a devistating injury setting me way back. But to my suprise, his breeder Anne Carson, offered me her retired speical Mariah (CH Twelfth Night Call the Wind) to take to Westminster so I would not have to miss. That year was a long a hard year, I showed Mariah and Freddie(smooth fox terrier, CH Sunrise Fast Freddie) in juniors until Domino was well enough to get back out into the ring. I took Domino on to have the best year in my whole juniors career being the Top 5 Junior Handlers in the nation in 2008 and making the finals at Eukanuba the same year as well as the cut at Westminster.
I graduated high school in 2010 and enrolled in The University of Alabama for college. After attending college for a year, I felt like I needed to get a big breed and fell in love with Blueticks because of one of my biggest mentors, Frank Jewett. I purchased a little bluetick puppy, Mint Julep (GCH CH Evenstar N Heritage Mint Julep) who went on to be far better than I ever thought her to be. She became a CH undefeated for Best of Winners, she is undefeated for Best of Breed(except 1 time she got select), and was the 2013 Eukabuna Best of Breed and the 2014 Westminster Best of Breed.
My career in dogs stretched far past just dog shows, I also competition coonhunt, field trial, and bench show. May of 2014 I win my first overall hunt win at the MAHA Ladies Hunt in Raleigh, NC.
I am deticated to producing a dual purpose dog that can succeed in the woods and in the show ring.
